Audits are the first step in setting up a proper maintenance program for your playground and are used to identify any potential  hazards or deficiencies in construction. Audits provide an in depth evaluation of every piece of your playground and the immediate surrounding area.

It is recommended that the owner/operator obtain an audit immediately following installation of new playgrounds or major changes and additions to existing play equipment. 

Playground safety audits include:

• A detailed inventory list and layout of the playground
• Inventory photos
• Age appropriateness of equipment
• A checklist of components and their compliance with current CPSC and ASTM safety standards
• A detailed description and photos of non-compliant pieces and recommendations for correction
• A hazard priority ranking of non-compliant pieces

All safety audits are performed by a NRPA Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI)
